3 Things to NOT Do when Insecured

Insecurity can be a real bad thing. The feeling of helplessness, as if a great calamity is going to strike out of the blue, is high during such times. We feel as if there is no hope. And I can assure you that, yes, it sucks.

But then there is always hope. Remember the Albus Dumbledore quote? (See Picture) Also, I have realized that the whole point of life is not letting sadness and despair eat and break you from inside.

But instead, we need to look for ways in which we can be happy and make it large. Because I believe that both, you and I, are created to be big, important and magically infinite. There are various things that can effect us, breakups, loss, death of a family member, etc.

So if you’re wondering what can be done to make yourself feel awesomer, here are a few things you should NOT do when feeling low and insecure:

1] Listen to sad music, especially Taylor Swift, James Blunt and maybe perhaps Linkin Park.

Instead you can try artists like Jason Marz, Coldplay and Mika, they have some good stuff. I could help you form a decent playlist for yourself. My mail id is at the end of this post. 🙂
Instead of Facebook, you can maybe read a book, go out and do stuff, bake a cake, learn Spanish (or even Japanese, perhaps. Whatever you like). You should know that there are greater things in the world to be known and that they deserve your attention. 2] Spend time on social networking sites. Yes, my friend. Facebook IS the most depressing website EVER. And take my word for it, in the history of the Universe, nothing relevant is ever going to happen over on that website. So if you try and hold yourself back for at least two days from Facebook, you will really feel good about yourself. That is a guarantee.

3] Keep quiet and silently suffer. That my friend, is the worst thing you can do. When we distance ourselves from our friends and family during times of trouble, we often tend to listen to nobody but ourselves. Which, in my opinion, is wrong. Because, when we are depressed or going through a bad phase, our thinking is also negative and we bottle up with these negative thoughts. And a body full of negative thoughts can only have a negative outcome. images (1)

Instead, go out and try to open up. I know, it is hard. But once you try and talk to your friend or family, trust me, things will be fine. Besides, if you’re ashamed to talk about it in person, you can always talk to me. I can claim to have gone through some bad times myself and will be more than happy to help you out. No pressure there. Use a fake email id if possible. That will be alright too. I don’t mind not knowing you, as long as your trouble is solved.

I hope this was helpful, leave me a comment if it has.

Remember, you deserve all the happiness in the world and it’s your very right to go get it. 🙂
